Keep The Stress Out of Your Life: No problem, No PressureS
Stress– Tension, Worry, Anxiety, Mental breakdown, Nervous Breakdown, Strain
Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. It is a powerful mindset that we as people are going to dismantle. Please know it is a collection of thoughts or fears that bear down on your mind until they penetrate you & control your thought process & emotions. Subsequently it causes depression, oppression & suppression which affects your health & your relationships.
1. Your treasure is greater than your trouble!
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair. ~2 Corinthians 4:6-8
Paul explains we are troubled on every side, but not stressed. Why? Because he knew he had a treasure on the inside; the power to speak God’s word and change the situation.
2. Be certain you are going to make it!
Uncertainty is a source of stress. Jesus had peace and in Mark 4:37-38 he even slept in the midst of a violent, great wave, wind storm. How? Because he declared ” We are going to the other side!” God’s words create certainty that eliminates stress!
3. The Prince of Peace lives in you!
To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. ~ Colossians 1:27
Peace comes from the presence of God, not the absence of problems. Meditate on the fact that God’s presence is in you and with you! Jesus said “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee!” -Hebrews 13:5
4.Know Your Enemy!
The real enemy is thinking that you have to get rid of the enemy. “You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” ~Psalm 23:5 HE
He, God Himself, has prepared a table (celebration or a party) in the presence of your enemies. Begin to praise god in the midst of problems, pressure, or bad news. Trust me, the enemy loses it’s power of very you!
5.You’re not under stress you’re over it!
When you believe you are seated with Christ in heavenly places, “And because you belong to Christ you are complete, having everything you need. Christ is ruler over every other power and authority.” , “He defeated the rulers and powers of the spiritual world. With the cross he won the victory over them and led them away, as defeated and powerless prisoners for the whole world to see.”Colossians 2:10; 15, LIVE LIFE!
“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins, in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body[a] and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.[b] But[c] God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” ~Ephesians 2:1-6
From above-From God’s perspective the battle is already won! “For you equipped me with strength for the battle;
you made those who rise against me sink under me.” ~Psalm 18:39 Jesus did it all! Your fight is simply to believe that; that’s when the stress leaves!
God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart.
Examine me through and through;
find out everything that may be hidden within me.
Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares.
~Pslalm 139:23 (The Passion Translation)
