During these great times of stress with the high unemployment rates, many companies downsizing and some going out of business, the divorce rate is at an all-time high and people are facing financial crisis on every side. These are things the world system portrays, but there is a place known as “Goshen” where there is light, love, peace, and prosperity. This place can be demonstrated as well as activated by one of the most profound scriptures in the Bible. Joshua 1:8 – This book of the law shall not depart out of they mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is within therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success.”
God wants you and I to prosper and have good success. He gives each of us the plan for success. First you and I must learn to meditate on and in His Word more than just once a week and more than your annual visits on Easter Sunday. He wants you and I to meditate on and in His Word continuously – day and night. This brings understanding in being able to see what Father God is saying. As we continue to pray, meditate and study the Word of God we will see God’s Word for what it is worth.
Meditation is to think about, ponder, dwell on and to encourage one’s self. And it has to take place daily. It’s essential for you and I to walk out our God-given destinies. The person who meditates the scriptures concerning their marriage, children, health and state of being will come out of successful from any storm or pressure that life can dish out. You can start meditating ten to twenty minutes a day and build from there.
Psalm 1:3 says “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither and everything he does shall prosper and come to maturity.” In Psalms 1, in its entirety, God gives us the key to a prosperous and successful life. In verse 1 he tells us what will happen to the person who doesn’t take nor seek out godly counsel:
• He or she seeks wrong counsel which results in faulty decisions
• He or she begins to listen to wrong advice
• He or she joins the wrong inner circle of individuals.
But to the wise man or woman, young man or young woman even in school as you meditate on God’s word, as you examine, evaluate, and experience the right counsel in which I have given you, 5 major manifestations will take place in your life. According to Psalm 1:3, when you receive godly counsel from the right godly inner circle, stability will take place, insured nourishment will occur, fruitfulness and productivity will occur, strength and durability will occur and lastly your good success will come.
